This cuff button set is from the 1880s and is made with goldstone discs. This style of cufflinks you may not be used to. They have the wing-back mechanisms and will hold the flaps of your cuffs much tighter than normal.
Wear on these is relative to their 140 year old age. They attach to cuffs the same as normal modern cufflinks do.
