The round spring ring does not snap back very well but does snap back.
The dog clip works but does not swivel and is what is signed with an IMC and anything after that is illegible.
From end to end including the clips the chain is 14 inches overall.
This watch chain or vest chain as some will call it, would have been worn around the 1930s and 40s.
