Carved Moss on Snow Jade Pendant - PiXiu and Fruit Vine
This was a great piece to find. A deep white with deep green, they call it moss on snow. We believe to be a PiXiu on one side and what looks like to be a piece of fruit hanging from a vine on the other.
The carving on this one is exquisite and is believe to have been done in the last half of the 1900s. The Jade carving is wonderfully layered and the dimensional view of the piece it's great to admire and hold.
As mentioned the color is a very nice white with a subtle green and different areas of it. There is a pierced hole at the top for thin cord or wire to hang a bale for a necklace from.

The PiXiu: to bring great wealth and fortune and protection from evil sprits.
