Victorian Chased Button Stud Set - Antique Men's Accessories
This is a Victorian universal button stud set. They were used as shirt studs, collar studs, vest buttons and some were marketed as bachelor buttons. This set have hand chased floral designs on each stud front.
Each stud is a two-piece mechanism that comes apart by the tabs on the side. Some of these came with patent dates of 1879 and 1880s, you may or may not see it on this one. For being 145 years old, this set is in great usable or collectible condition.
